PALM VALLEY – A West Valley Phenom

Home to two outstanding golf courses, an incredible junior golf program and a superb practice facility, Palm Valley has been billed as “the Valley’s Most Complete Golf Experience” and it most certainly delivers.

Located just north of I-10 off Litchfield Road, Palm Valley’s original Palms Course is one of the most popular golf courses in the Valley. Designed by renowned golf course architect Arthur Hills, the excellent layout provides a stiff challenge for accomplished players, yet it is flexible enough for novices to enjoy. The Palms Course has been rated among Arizona’s best public courses by The Phoenix Business Journal, and the ninth hole is routinely cited by avid players as one of the best par-5s in the state. Special “Palm Tees” are located on every hole, which shorten the course to 4,200 yards and make it suitable for play by juniors or beginning players.

The Club’s Lakes Course was created by golf legend Hale Irwin to provide players with a high-quality alternative to the championship golf experience provided by the Palms Championship Course. The 18-hole “mid-length course” measures 4,745 yards from the back tees, and features eight par 4s and 10 par 3s. With a par of 62, the course allows players to enjoy a fun, challenging round of golf in considerably less time than a championship course would require. Additionally, landing areas are generous and the golf course’s numerous lakes and water features are designed in such a way as to reduce forced carries, enabling the Lakes Course to accommodate players of all abilities.

In addition to two outstanding golf courses, Palm Valley Golf Club operates one of the nation’s most highly regarded junior golf programs. The program is designed to introduce children to golf and nurture their love for the game through instruction, fun events and competitive opportunities. Available year round to children ages 5 to 17, the instruction component provides an on-going schedule of classes to help the students reach their individual goals. Classes are segregated by both age and skill level to ensure that all students feel comfortable. Complementing the instruction program, Palm Valley offers monthly parent/junior golf tournaments to encourage families and neighbors to enjoy the game of golf together. And, Palm Valley provides special pricing and playing privileges for junior players at all of its facilities.
