Nestled in the shadow of the Estrella Mountains, the Southwest Valley has become one of the shining jewels in the Phoenix metroplex. The Cities of Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park and Tolleson are making their presence know as excellent places to live, work and play.

Outdoors enthusiasts have plenty of activities to choose from including a dozen excellent golf courses. City parks provide fun for the entire family with swimming pools, ball fields, tennis courts and picnic facilities. Estrella Mountain and White Tank Mountain Regional Park have miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding in spectacular desert foothills settings. Camping, picnicking, and playgrounds for the kids are available in developed areas. If you prefer spectator sports, Phoenix International Raceway is one of the premier stops on the NASCAR circuit, hosting two major races annually and next spring the Cleveland Indians will join the Cactus League, doing their Spring Training in Goodyear.

City and County parks offer plenty of family friendly places to play with outdoor activities including swimming, sports fields, picnic areas and walking trails. Avondale’s Friendship Park and Goodyear’s Community Park have dog parks where Fido can join in the fun.
Hiking
Miles of trails open the beauty of the desert and surrounding foothills to the outdoors enthusiast. Two handicapped accessible trails at White Tank Mountain Regional Park allow visitors in wheelchairs to take in the splendors of the area as well as visit Petroglyph Plaza.
